Army NCO Prep is made by Tesserarius LLC. We own the software.
This page is the licence for the Army NCO Prep apps you install from the App Store or Google Play. The Terms of Service are the rules between you and us, and they cover the website and the web app. The Disclaimer says how far to trust what the app tells you. The Privacy Policy says what we do with your data.
Army NCO Prep is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, the U.S. Government, or any government agency. It is not an official product of any of them.
What this covers
The installed apps. When you install Army NCO Prep from the App Store or Google Play, a copy of the software goes onto your device. This page says what you may do with that copy.
Not the website. Army NCO Prep in a browser is a service you reach, not a copy you hold. The Terms of Service cover that, and they cover it whether you are signed in or not.
What you may do
Install it and use it. On the devices you own, for as long as you like, for your own studying. There is no device limit and nothing to activate.
Use it with no connection. Once the app is installed it keeps working without a network, and nothing about that requires our permission or our servers.
Keep studying if we stop. If we ever take the app off the stores, the copy already on your device is still yours to use for as long as it runs.
What you may not do
Do not sell it, or charge anyone for access to it, or bundle it into something you are selling.
Do not pass it off as yours, or as the Army's, or as anyone's official product.
Do not take it apart to republish the question bank as your own material. The questions were written by this project. Studying them, printing a study sheet, and quizzing another Soldier are all fine. Lifting the bank to build a competing product is not.
Do not try to extract the app and pass it around as a standalone file. The app is distributed through the stores and through our own site, and those are the ways to get it.
The publications are not ours
The Army publications the app downloads for you are official documents, publicly releasable, and not our property. This licence does not cover them and does not need to. They came from the Army and they are yours to read.
What this licence does not promise
No updates. We do not promise to update the app, to keep it working on a future version of your phone, or to tell you when the content inside it has aged. The Disclaimer explains what the audit date means and it is worth reading.
No maintenance and no support obligation. You can write to us and we read what comes in. That is not a commitment to fix anything.
It is provided as it is. We make no warranty that it is free of errors, that it will suit what you need it for, or that it will keep running on any device.
If this licence ends
If you break the terms above, the permission this page gives you ends and you should remove the app. Deleting it removes what is on your device. If you have an account, the Privacy Policy says how to delete that, and deleting the app does not delete the account.
