It depends on how you opened it. Installed to your home screen, the questions, flashcards, your notes and your scores are on your device and keep working with no connection. In a browser that is up to the browser, and we do not promise it. Publications open with no connection once you have downloaded them.

Downloading a regulation PDF needs a connection, and so does Recite the Creed while it is using your browser's speech recognition. Turn on enhanced recognition in Settings and the creed is graded on your device too.

No. The app works fully without one. An account keeps a copy of your studying so your other devices match.

Regulation PDFs are stored online and fetched the first time you open or save one, so that first fetch needs a connection. Once it is saved, it opens offline from your device. Clearing your browser's data or deleting the app removes it, and it downloads again the next time you open it. If a fetch fails, check your connection and try again.

A few publications are listed for reference only. They show the citation so you can look them up, and they have no download — nothing will fetch for those, and that is not a fault.

Speech engines mishear words, short ones especially, and the app grades only the text the engine hands back. So a word you said clearly can still come back wrong — that is the engine, not you.

Which engine depends on your setting. With enhanced recognition off it is the one built into your browser or operating system; with it on it is the model the app downloaded to your device.

If it is consistently off, email us the creed, which setting you were using, and what happened, and we will take a look.

Open Settings, find the Study data row, and tap Reset study data, then confirm. That clears your scores, missed questions, study stats and readiness. It is deliberately two steps so a stray tap cannot wipe your progress.

Your regulation notes, highlights, bookmarks and favorites are stored separately and are not touched by that reset. To remove those as well, clear this site's data in your browser, or delete the app if you installed it.

Either way, that clears it from this device. If you have an account with sync turned on, there is also a copy on our server — deleting the account removes that one.
