Army NCO Prep is a product of Tesserarius LLC. These terms are the rules between you and us. The Disclaimer says what this app is and how far to trust what it tells you. The Privacy Policy says what we do with your data. The End-User License Agreement covers the apps you install from the App Store or Google Play.
What this is
Army NCO Prep is a study aid for Soldiers preparing for a promotion board. You study, quiz yourself, recite creeds, and read Army publications. Anyone may use it.
Army NCO Prep is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, the U.S. Government, or any government agency. It is not an official product of any of them.
Accounts
An account is optional. The app works fully without one, including with no connection once it is open. That is how it is built, not a lesser way to run it.
An account is for one person. Do not share it or sign in as somebody else.
Keep your own way back in. Some of what an account will hold is encrypted so that we cannot read it, and that means we cannot restore it either. Keep your password, and any recovery codes you are given, somewhere you will still have them in a year.
You can end an account two ways. Sign in, open Settings and tap Delete account, which removes the account and the copies we hold without anyone else being involved. Or write to [email protected] and ask us to do it.
What you enter, and who can see it
Nothing you write in this app is visible to any other user. There is no feed, no profile, no sharing between accounts, and no way for one person's copy to reach another person's.
What you enter about other Soldiers is your call and your responsibility. You decide what belongs in a study app. We do not review it, we do not check it, and once Leaders' Hub encrypts it we cannot read it. If your unit has rules about where duty information may be kept, those rules apply here too.
Using the app
Do not try to break the app, get around its limits, or take it apart to republish its questions. Do not use it to harass anyone, and do not put anything in it you are not allowed to hold.
We can suspend or close an account being used that way, or being used to attack the service or another person.
When an account ends, the copies we hold end with it: the server copy of your study data, and the encrypted copy of Leaders' Hub data once that exists. Whatever is on your device stays on your device until you remove it.
Free and paid
The app is free to use today. Some of what it does may be paid later.
What you make in the app is yours, and it lives on your device. Your notes, your scores, your marks, the publications you have downloaded and anything you enter in Leaders' Hub are stored on your device, not held for you on a server. If a paid feature ends, that data is still there and it is still yours.
The app itself
Army NCO Prep is our software, and the questions in it were written by this project. Using the app does not make any of it yours.
The Army publications the app downloads are a separate thing. They are official documents, publicly releasable, and not our property.
Changes to these terms
The date at the top of this page is the date it last changed. The rules are described above; when the rules change, so does the date.
A change takes effect when we post it here. There is no notice period, and we do not send an announcement. If the terms matter to you, the date at the top is how you tell whether they have moved.
If there is a dispute
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming.
Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, and both of us agree to that.
